    We encourage students to read English books through the Super Readers' Scheme.

  • Online Reading
    Online reading is assigned to students each week to increase their reading experience


  • Reading Across the Curriculum (RaC)
    Our school would give attention to students’ reading quality, to develop their good reading habit and make promoting reading across the curriculum an emphasis in the school’s development.
    We aim at enriching students’ reading experiences and stimulate them to make connections between reading texts, their personal life experiences, prior knowledge and different key learning areas (KLAs). This facilitates students’ in-depth reflection on the content of reading, establishes links between knowledge, enhances understanding and fosters critical and creative reading skills.

Writing

1. P1-6 School-based worksheets from reading to writing

• Students read and learn about the text type before writing it.
• Guiding questions are provided to guide students to write.
• Self-checklist is given so students can monitor their writing progress.
• Writing Review and proofreading is done after each writing to allow students to appreciate other’s good work.

 

2. P1-6 Super writer

• Students do sentence making, free writing and creative writing so as to help them build a regular routine to write.
Speaking and listening

1. P1-6 School-based Reading Aloud booklet is used and we encourage students to do read aloud to improve their confidence in speaking English.
2. P1-3 Speaking lessons

Spelling

1. Spelling quizzes are done often to help students develop a habit of spelling.
